Everybody has their own path to follow. Doesn’t matter what others think or say, ultimately as the saying goes, you are your own author. However I like to think “God isn’t finished with me yet.” No matter what I’ve gone through or will go through God is there for me. Not beside me but right in front of me clearing the way, as I try to navigate my journey and raise my kids. I actually started taking my pastor’s notes home after church so I could put them on our Facebook page for those who missed that day or maybe a verse he mentioned. I started thinking about writing a blog about my Faith Journey on and off after the comment, “something was lost in translation.” Pastor Tim Combs is awesome, he is not afraid to admit he is just a man preaching God’s word as it comes to him. He also comes up with great zingers and one-liners to help get and keep your attention. So I can understand how something can be lost. Then the idea of writing my ideas and thoughts on what I got from the sermon, how it hit me and added to my Faith Journey.

These ideas have come to the forefront lately especially since I feel lost in some ways. Although my writing has been put on the back burner since life happens. Adulting is daunting to say the least. Bills, rent, and income do not always match but we do what we can to get through life.

As life seems to fly by my faith ebbs and flows like ocean waves. However, one phrase keeps going trough my head, “Faith as small as a mustard seed.”

In “Matthew 17:20 Jesus replies his Disciples, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” I’ve always had a mustard seed of Faith even in times when all faith should be gone. My journey keeps my faith growing and I pray as it does my kids see changes in me and want the same for themselves. I also hope sharing my faith journey helps others as well.
